SSC JE 2020 EXAM PATTERN

The selections, assortment of the candidates will be according to the results of written examinations - Paper I and Paper II. Paper-I will include 200 questions will be Objective Type Computer-Based Exam, the time duration for paper -I will be 2 hours. Paper-II will come in the Descriptive Type Written Exam of 300 marks. 

There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Students who are applying for the post of JE (Civil) have to solve Part A (civil & structural) of paper I & II.

Technical 100 questions will be given for each part (Part A, Part B, Part C) which stream or part the students have chosen and the GA and Reasoning will be the same for all the parts. Each question carries 1 mark and a negative of 0.25 marks for each incorrect question. ( 40 min. extra who are allowed to use scribe)

SSC JE Paper-II Exam Pattern

In the descriptive paper, there will be Mainly 7 questions each of 50 marks and you have to attempt any 6 questions. And every 50 marks questions will be consisting of some 3-4 questions.

SSC JE Exam Syllabus

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
The question in this will be asked from both verbal non-verbal questions. In this section, questions will be asked from similarities between figures, mirror and water images, analogies, differences between images, image pattern visualization, problem-solving questions, conclusion & judgment, decision making questions, questions based on Dices, clock-based questions, discrimination between the numbers & series, relationship-based questions, arithmetical reasoning questions, verbal and images classification, arithmetical & numbers series, etc.  

In this section, some questions will be designed to check student's abilities to deal with different ideas, images pattern, symbols, and relationships between them, arithmetical questions, and other analytical functions based questions.

  • General Awareness
From this section's question examiner wants to test the students' General Awareness of the surrounding around him or her. Questions will also be asked to examine the student's knowledge of Current Affairs and everyday matters, observations, and new inventions in the scientific field around them.

A. Proceed Through Your Syllabus

Know the need, importance for each and every topic from an examinations viewpoint. Giving more time on problems, topics, subjects that carry more weight-age is very important and very crucial.

The SSC JE Exam consist of a total of 200 questions and the total time given to answer these questions is 120 minutes or 2 hours.
